Native ESPHome voice
ESPHome is now built into Tater, powering VoicePE and Sat1 devices with room-aware voice sessions, live entities, direct playback, logs, and native operator screens.
Shared STT and TTS
The Models tab now holds the shared speech stack: Faster Whisper, Vosk, Wyoming, Kokoro, Pocket TTS, Piper, plus Home Assistant announcement TTS when needed.
Voice pipeline experiments
Optional experimental toggles can enable live partial STT, early-start TTS, and live Hydra tool-progress speech on hardware that can support them.
Beast Mode routing
Base servers can run normal AI calls while Chat/Astraeus/Thanatos/Minos/Hermes optionally route to per-head models.
Redis control + encryption
Redis setup, connectivity checks, and live encrypt/decrypt controls are managed directly in WebUI settings.
API key protection
Portal HTTP bridges can be locked behind X-Tater-Token so companion apps and integrations use shared API keys.
Core layer
Built-in tools handle files, web research, memory, images, notes, attachments, and delivery.
